Dear High Desert Museum team,

I wanted to reach out as I feel a kindred spirit with your mission of bringing about a modern artistic vision steeped in the fabric of the American West. I am a Bend-based contemporary landscape photographer, driven by channeling moments in the landscape when the discoverable meets that which can only be revealed; the mingling of the finite and the infinite. My approach is to frequently operate right at the edge of storms and in harsh environments, as this is where the mysterious, unrepeatable moments of beauty are encountered.

Part of my mission is to play whatever humble part i can in moving the genre of landscape photography forward with a fresh vision. After a breakthrough opportunity recently with Modern West Fine Art, I am seeking further opportunities to partner with galleries and museums with aligned visions.

Below are some examples of my work and exhibitions. I would love to speak further about any opportunities that you think would be a good fit.

Thank you!

-Peter

Artist Bio

Peter Dawson is an internationally published photographer whose work is characterized by a poetic sense of exploration, anchored in the natural world while opening a window into the sublime unknown.

Peter has a B.A. in Photography from Brooks Institute and his signature style has seen commissions world-wide for brands and publications including Land Rover, Lexus, The New York Times Magazine, EMI Records, The NFL, Subaru, Amazon, Nike, and many others. His projects have been awarded as the “Best of Photography” 15 times on Adobe’s creative network, Behance.

Between commissions, you can usually find him chasing storms with his camera on the backroads of America’s mountains and deserts. Peter is also dedicated to exploring the limits of mind and body through ultra-endurance running where he competes nationally at a high level, and is keenly interested in the parallels between artistic exploration and athletic pursuit.
